Hello, I’m Karen, or K , and I’m in the business of celebrating women and helping them fall in love with the skin they are in! ❤️

I am a multiple award winning photographer,  located in Wellington, Somerset.

I am a ‘Qualified Professional’ member of the ‘Guild of Photographers’ which is a highly regarded national photographic body whose members are committed to achieving the highest standards of professionalism for the benefit of their customers. Achieving my qualification with the Guild, involved a rigorous assessment process, and it’s something I’m very proud of.

I’m a mum to 4 daughters and nan to two granddaughters. My three eldest have flown the nest, so I live with my youngest daughter, my soulmate, his children on the weekends and our 2 cats.

My journey as a photographer started about 9 years ago. I began as a newborn photographer and quickly introduced maternity sessions including the fine art nude style. I adored working with women. Being able to help them step out of their comfort zone, embrace their amazing changing bodies, and hearing how wonderful and liberating the experience was for them, how they’d never really liked many images of themselves before until now. It made me realise the power of what a beautiful professional portrait can do for someone’s self esteem. 

So I decided to take this a step further and branch off into the genre of boudoir.  To not just celebrate our unique femininity but to also rediscover ourselves in a new light, to shed those negative body thoughts, boost confidence, to heal, to empower, to realise our own beauty and to well, just pamper ourselves, because goodness knows we deserve it! 

I am mostly self-taught, but I have had 2 lots of one-to-one full training days with 2 leading, international award-winning photographers. I have also attended several day courses in general photography and I've lost count of how many online courses I have completed in all aspects of photography, lighting and photoshop and boudoir specific. This I continue to update regularly. My learning and growing in photography never stops.

Music. First cup of tea of the day. Cat videos. Tattoos. Music festivals. Cheesecake especially Biscoff . Black & quirky home interiors. Black nail varnish. Black anything! Disco balls. Bbq’s and long walks with my family.  Chocolate. Music gigs. Ben & Jerry’s cookie dough. All the puddings. A quaint cafe by the seaside. Mermaids. Cream teas. Sparkly stuff. The sound of music film. Writing lists. Junk shops & charity shop finds. Neon lights. Converse high-tops & Dr Martens. Old doors & rustic windows. Sunny holidays by the ocean.

So that just about sums me up! I would absolutely love to meet you and create beautiful portraits of you to cherish for all time.
